Description

text art is my summer project. thought i'd start with something familiar, murray gold's doctor who soundtrack in constant loop on my computer.

Cum tacent clament. Serva me, servato te:
"While we are silent, we are screaming. Save me and I will save you."

Dum inter homines, sumus colamus humanitatem:
"When amongst humans, we should be humane." (<-- which is a seneca quote)

Elegant, clean and simplistic. A splendid visual rendition, by a skilled and brilliant artist, of this hauntingly beautiful tune and text by an absolute master of his trade!

I love the typography. Your choice of font suits the purpose and the composition very well, although even cleaner, straighter lines - a sans serif font - to contrast the round shapes of the Gallifreyan writing, or, going the other way, even a font closer to handwriting with more rounded corners and "flow" to connect it with the lovely song, might have been interesting too, just to see what effect it has on the composition as a whole... Anyway, as I said, it works as it is, and I'm sure you already considered all of this before. So, please do forgive me and do not be offended by my comment. You know your trade better than I.
The Gallifreyan is very well done, and I love how the two styles blend together in some places, while some of the circles are more faint and in the background, giving the picture depth.
To round off this poor attempt at a constructive comment, I will only say that this is easily a favourite and my new wallpaper!
