william hartnell alias doctor who (1st incarnation)
ca. 6hours. 4b, hb, 2h and that free ikea pencil.

HELP!
i'm very uncertain about this one. having seen only a few of his episodes in crappy net qualitly so far i don't think i got the likeness right. there are so few decent pictures of him online.
what do the experts say?
p.s.: i know suck at drawing hands...

edit:
i worked out the main likeness problem due to a very nice person on whoforum.com. head too broad. some adjustment in photoshop and i'm actually beginning to like this one. also reworked the hand a bit.

This is a great William Hartnell drawing. You said you were unsure about it but the only thing I can see is that his right eye might be a little off. But I think I've found the reference picture you used online, and he doesn't look in character in the picture so there's no blaming you. In fact, in your drawing, he seems to be giving the screen an intense Doctor-ish look. Thank you left eye. Hope this helps.
